Battlefield 2
So Battlefield 2 is almost here. Released in Europe on Friday. I’ll be first in line. I’ve been playing the demo a bit cough and it’s a great game apart from the server browser which is just as bad as the first one. Someone should teach the coders to sort alphabetically and give them a course in string matching.
There’s a much more team feel to playing it now because of the new commander and squad features. You can join/create a squad as you please and every squad has a leader. This leader can direct his men and receive or request orders from the commander. He can ask for artillery, UAV, supplies and so on. This greatly improves the feeling of participating in a real battle. With two good 32 player teams on each side it’s multiplayer conflict at its best. The graphics, effects and audio is top quality. I’ve been hit by artillery about five hundred times now and it’s still a spectacular experience.
My new gaming rig has no problems playing it but a 256MB graphics card would be nice in order to get high quality textures. I’ll have plenty of time to upgrade though as I plan to stay with this game for quite a while.
Good deal, thanks!
